Let’s find out! I only take one wedding per day, so once a date's booked it's genuinely gone. Send through your date and I'll tell you straight away.

Most couples book 6–12 months out, and peak season (October to April) goes earliest. That said, I've written beautiful ceremonies on six weeks' notice. If your date's soon, ask anyway.

Almost none. There's a form called the Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) that has to be lodged at least one month before your wedding. I prepare it, walk you through it, and lodge everything afterwards too. You sign where I point.

Only if you want to. Plenty of couples do, and I'll help you shape them so they sound like you rather than a greeting card. It’s completely up to you.

Usually 20–30 minutes, but it's your call. Short and punchy works beautifully. One of my favourite ceremonies ran twelve minutes. Long enough to feel like something happened, short enough that nobody's checking their phone.

Travel within 40km of home is included in every package (50km for elopements). Beyond that, just ask. I've married couples well outside Melbourne and I'm happy to hit the road for the right wedding.

More than okay. There are a handful of legal words I'm required to say, and everything else is entirely yours. Rituals, no rituals, your dog as ring bearer, a reading from a video game… and I'll never make it feel like a novelty.
