Hi Lovers! I’m Darren, a Melbourne/Naarm-based marriage celebrant with a big heart, a knack for storytelling, and a soft spot for love in all its glorious forms.

I’m here for the romantics, the rule-breakers, the dog parents, the pizza-sharers - every kind of couple with every kind of love story. My vibe? Warm, inclusive, and just the right amount of organised (with a splash of chaos if confetti’s involved).

My celebrant journey kicked off back in 2023, when my best mate asked me to officiate her wedding in India. Standing up there, telling their story, laughing, tearing up, and marrying two legends? I was hooked. Turns out, celebrating love and telling stories in front of a crowd is very my thing.

You’ll hear me say this a lot: everyone deserves the chance to declare their love - no matter who they love. I’m proud to be part of the LGBTIQ+ community, and even prouder of the crew of changemakers who fought for marriage equality in Australia. By day, I’ve worked to shape inclusive policies that make a real impact, and by weekend, I’m out here making magic happen at weddings.

✨ And here’s some juicy gossip — I’m engaged too! I’ll be marrying my fiancé Sean soon (cue happy tears and spreadsheets). When I’m not writing ceremonies or planning our big day, I’m usually in the kitchen, channelling my Italian mum and Nonna. Food is my love language, and yes, Nigella Lawson once replied to my lasagne post - I’ve still not recovered. Our mini labradoodle would also like to note she’s very invested in the kitchen happenings (I’m a messy cook).
