Marriage Celebrant, storyteller, lasagne enthusiast

Hi! I’m Darren

A smiling man in a dark suit with a white shirt posing against a beige background.

I’m a Melbourne-based celebrant with a big heart, a calm head, and a knack for storytelling. My goal is to make your “I do” feel like you.

No cookie-cutter scripts, no stiff intros, just a warm, relaxed ceremony that gets your guests saying, “that was so them.”

I believe in celebrating love in all its forms, with warmth, inclusivity and a ceremony that’s unapologetically you.

Think calm, inclusive and a little cheeky in all the right moments. I handle the legal stuff, guide you through every step, and craft a ceremony that feels effortless, but never generic.

Couples often tell me it’s like having a mate up there with them (one who knows when to pause for the tears and when to cue the confetti).

A heart shape

How it all started

Back in 2023, my best mate asked me to officiate her wedding in India. Somewhere between the laughter, the tears and the chaos, I realised this was the thing I was meant to do.

Now, I spend time celebrating love stories of all kinds, making sure every couple feels seen, supported, and celebrated.

When I’m not marrying legends, I’m at home with my fiancé Sean and our mini labradoodle, who thinks she’s the boss. I’m a foodie at heart, and yes, Nigella once replied to my lasagne post (still not over it).

Before celebrancy, I worked in comms and inclusion, which probably explains my obsession with good stories and making sure everyone feels welcome.

As a proud member of the LGBTIQ+ community, I believe every couple deserves a ceremony that feels true to who they are — no matter how they identify or who they love.
